housing, trade and nightclub in madrid
The project is located in the area of Canal, (Madrid) on an extensive plot that belonged to the obsolete government from the stage of the Spanish dictatorship.
The project seeks to build 200 homes, a trade and a nightclub. The design aim is to create high-density housing occupying the entire plot, opening gaps between them to allow sunlight gets into homes and to create private relationship and open spaces. On the set of houses 3 towers that contain commercial spaces. Nightclubs are located on the top of the structure.
The Project tries to reverse the traditional sense of this area of Madrid where the shops are located on the ground floor and in the upper floor the husing. Furthermore, it tries to do the block more permeable by letting a most fluid pedestrian circulation.
For the design of housing, the necessary spaces for life (habitable modules, terrace modules, bedroom modules) are combinated like in a game, creating different patterns.
