The museum is located in Sofia, Bulgaria, exactly in one of the main arteries to the south-east of the city. The building consists of two volumes clearly differenciated: The Exhibition Building and audience. Both of them are connected to each other by the access of the area where are the tickets, the administration and the wardrobe areas. From this access we can go to the auditorium or to the museum. These two volumes articulate between a public square visible from the main street where, thanks to a semiburied bleachers, shows take place outdoors, giving a large urban dynamism to the museum. The main building on the ground floor have a flexible and transparent hall. Here is where it sites temporary exhibitions. The upper floors have the rest of the program: six exhibition halls, library, music library and video library. The exhibition hall has closed spaces where light enters indirectly through a vertical skylights. This provides a better control of light depending on the exposition. Furthermore, in the back facade we have big holes that allows (in each plant) to leaving the exhibition rooms and, from the hall, we also can see the incredible views of Vitosha Mountain. Nature and music connection. Finally, in the back of the building we find the access for workers,offices, the recording area , the restoration works, the warehouses and the rest of facilities. In addition, from this point, you are able to access to the area of the artists connected with the part to the artists of the auditorium.
